Another Good Reason to Earn Good Grades |
In addition to completing your academic program at Long Beach City College, your grades and finishing your classes successfully also affect your financial aid. At the end of each school year we review grades of all financial aid students. To continue to receive financial aid you must maintain a 2.0 Cumulative GPA and successfully complete most of your classes. If you fail to do either one, you will be suspended from financial aid. In addition if you completely withdraw from all of your fall classes, you will be suspended in the middle of the school year. However, we know that sometimes things happen that are beyond your control and you can appeal to be reinstated to financial aid. The decision on the appeal will be based on what took place during the semester and your entire academic history. Finally, if you withdraw from all of your classes without completing 60% of the term you may be required by federal law to repay a portion of the financial aid you received and that obligation cannot be appealed. So stay in school, study, and get good grades-it pays! |
