Using Your LBCC Debit Card Wisely |
There is a Higher One ATM located in the cafeteria atLAC and next to the Cashier’s Office at PCC. You can withdraw up to $500 daily with no fees. You will be charged out of network fees if you use any other ATM. Use the LBCC Debit Card to make purchases to avoid carrying around a lot of cash and trips to the ATM. You can order checks from Higher One, too.
The LBCC Debit Card is a debit card, not a credit card. When making a purchase however always remember to “swipe and sign” for fee-free debit card purchases. Choose “credit” not debit and sign the receipt.
Check your free online statements and account balances often but remember to deduct any recent purchases that don’t appear yet. Merchants don’t always report them right away and failing to keep your own real balance can result in overdrafts and fees.
Pay your bills through your OneAccount and save money on stamps and trips to the post office.
These are just a few ideas. If you have any others you’d like to pass along to other students let us know. We’ll add them to News You Can Use on the FA Home page.
