Financial Aid Programs

Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is the primary grant given to financial aid students at LBCC. The Pell Grant is an entitlement program which means that awards are available all year to as many eligible students as apply. The Pell Grant does not need to be repaid.

The amount of the Pell Grant a student receives is determined by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as it appears on the student's Student Aid Report (SAR) and the number of units enrolled.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), plus any additional documentation needed to complete the financial aid application, are required in order to receive a Pell Grant.
