New Veterans and Eligible Dependents
Sign up to receive the G.I. Bill by bringing your DD-214 (discharge papers) into Veteran Affairs in the Financial Aid Office at PCC. Come in early because it takes the Veterans Administration 6 to 8 weeks to initiate benefits.
Continuing Veterans and Eligible Dependents
You must sign up for the G.I. Bill each semester or summer term. You can fill out the application up to 2 months before school begins.
Transferring from Another School
If you are transferring to Long Beach City College after receiving the G.I. Bill at another college, be sure to come to Veterans Affairs in the Financial Aid Office at PCC. We can help you with the necessary paperwork as much as 4 months before the start of the semester.
Dropping classes.
If you have to drop a class or classes while receiving the G.I. Bill, the Veterans Administration can charge you for the money received unless you have a valid reason for the withdrawal. If you have to drop a class, be sure and come to Veterans Affairs in the Financial Aid Office at PCC and fill out the necessary paperwork.

Now you can submit the following forms online directly to the Veterans Affairs Office. By submitting these forms online you are giving permission for them to be used in considering your eligibility for Veterans benefits.
These renewal forms are for students who already have a file set up in our office. If you are a new applicant, there is additional paperwork that you will have to fill out in the Veterans Affairs Office.

We offer our printable forms in Portable Document Format (PDF). To read and print a PDF publication below, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on you computer. You can download this software by clicking on the button located under the menu on the left side of this page.
